Mental Health Therapist  -  Lake County Mental Health Department is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join its dynamic team.  The Mental Health Therapist will assess, diagnose, treat and counsel individuals and families affected by mental illness and emotional issues. Ensure coordination of intake/assessment/counseling and referral of clients. 

Qualified candidate shall possess the following qualifications:  Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of mental health diagnosis, treatment and prevention; counseling and interviewing techniques; the dynamics of interpersonal relationships; and, community resources/programs. An earned Master’s degree in a behavioral, social, health science, special education, or human service area; and (1) one or more years’ experience in mental health programs. Experience in differential diagnosis, treatment plan design, and service coordination.  Experience with addictions treatment a plus. Experience with children, adolescent, and family therapy preferred.

Victim / Witness Assistant - Beginning immediately the Lake County District Attorney’s office will have a part time (19.5 hour a week) opening for a “Victim/Witness Assistant”.  Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:  answering phones, greeting the public, writing and maintaining grants and providing assistance to persons who have suffered financial, social, psychological or physical harm as a result of being a victim of crime.  This is a non-union position that does not include benefits.   Salary will be commensurate with experience.  The position will remain open until filled.  TO APPLY:  Complete a Lake County Job Application  Feel free to contact or stop by the District Attorney’s Office with questions, or call (541) 947-6009.
